SO MUCH TO DO! INSPIRATION!! DO ALL OF THE THINGS!

I want to do so much! Today is a "I want to be outside, readying a book, planting herbs, making instagram magnets, learning how to speak Dutch/Frysk, taking photos, cooking, etc, etc.

1st Teacher Gift!

I got my 1st teacher gift today! I feel super loved by my kiddos and school is going great. I thought that I should just document this moment. So there. Documented.

Uh! It has been awhile since I have picked up my camera, but it is about time that I did! Thankfully, my cousin, Shannon came for a visit this week and wanted me to take her picture. My entourage was faithfully helping me the whole time and these are some of the photos that I came up with. Enjoy.

Through the Looking Glass

You know what goes well with books? Food. That's right, a little snack on the side of a great adventure or mystery and you are set for a fine afternoon. This week was national library week (and I hope that you all got out to your library in extra doses) and all week The John and Louise Hulst Library celebrated with raffles and a paper air plane contest. Friday was particularly fun with their first ever Edible Book contest! I felt very honored when they asked me to be the guest judge representing the students at Dordt. The judging was based on Best representation of a book and best tasting.
After a bit of  deliberation, we decided that Book-La-Va was the best tasting,

The Giving Tree won overall best book representation, and Harry Potter had People's Choice.

Overall, it was a very fun experience, but I will not be eating cake for a very long time. I think that I will just stick to a nice cup of coffee when it comes to reading an afternoon tale.
